About Mars Charlie

The Adventures of Mars Charlie tells the story of and earthling named Charlie and two Sausagian brothers from Mars, known as Seemore and Bemore. The adventure begins when an odd little bird shows up on Charlie’s doorstep, and announces that Charlie has been chosen to show alien visitors what life on Earth is like. Charlie and the Martians’ attempts at meeting each other involve a series of near misses and close calls that finally end in a wonderful surprise encounter. The Adventures of Mars Charlie reminds us of the importance of perfect timing combined with patient waiting.

Always believe, never stop hoping, don’t be afraid, walk in peace and love freely.

There are two people without whom this story would never have been written. The first is my late husband, Charlie Hollis, the real Mars Charlie. He was the man behind the drawings; creator of Mars Charlie, Seemore, Bemore, and Scout. He gave me the story in pictures, and inspired me to translate it into words.

The second person is my sister Kimberly, whose love for Charlie and his dream caused her to say, “Let’s write a children’s story book and call it The Adventures of Mars Charlie.” She put pen to paper and wrote the first chapter. She laid the foundation that the story was built upon.
